CAMP FACILITIES: One in-person camp will be held at the Georgetown Public Library in July 2025, located in Sussex County, DE.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Beginner coding skills are taught helping children learn sequencing and terms that grown up coders use everyday to create video games and more. Math and Science activities engage your child in learning and our ARTS program helps students understand how computer artists work in the field.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: This program can also be delivered through our TUTORING service by appointment during the summer.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Online camps such as summer, holiday and school break camps run for 2.5 hours and cost $55 for the session.
1-hour classes run all year long and currently cost $20 per class.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our classes are designed so that students can learn technology skills while engaged in fun and interesting projects. Our goal is to have students learn how to do some amazing things with technology in a supportive and fun atmosphere.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each TechKnowHow® camp features a teaching team of two instructors. Instructors are often school teachers during the year, or professionals who work in the technology field or college students, often majoring in education or computer science. All instructors complete training, both in the specific course work which they will teach, as well as in general student interaction and camp management. Although our staff has varied backgrounds, all share an interest and ability in teaching technology skills to students! Our average camper:staff ratio is 10:1.

CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief Description: Camp counselors at Pali Adventures are responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of campers. They supervise campers in a cabin setting, at mealtimes, and during activities. Counselors are in charge of facilitating activities throughout the day. Counselors work as a team to ensure all campers have a fun and memorable experience at camp. Counselors report directly to their Specialty Director and Group Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Exhibit characteristics of responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
 Complete the staff application and interview process.
 Attend staff training (May 30 – June 12) and all in-service trainings.
 Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/30/20.
 Desire and ability to work with children.
 Other duties as assigned

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. All staff members must have the ability to respond immediately to an emergency. Any staff member with a disability that may affect the Staff Member’s ability to physically perform these requirements should immediately inform the Human Resources Department to determine possible reasonable accommodations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Serve the campers as a positive role model.
• Camp staff members will actively supervise campers both in assigned cabin groups (typically 10 campers and 2 counselors) and at assigned specialty, elective, evening and weekend activity programs.
• All campers should feel comfortable, safe and included.
• Learn the likes and dislikes of each camper in your care by showing genuine interest.
• Recognize and respond to the opportunities for problem solving in the group.
• The counselor is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of each camper within their cabin group and with whom they come into contact. E.g. drinking water, daily showers, teeth brushing, active supervision during rest/ down time, application of sunscreen and lip balm, appropriate attire for the activity they will be attending, etc.

• Provide opportunities for each individual to experience success during camp.
• The staff member must never leave campers unsupervised.

• Develop opportunities for positive interaction between campers and staff.

• Carry out established roles in enforcing camp safety regulations.

Other Job functions
 On a rotating basis, all staff members will be scheduled to assist with the serving of meals

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA Camp is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. A week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp location, YEA is designed to be a fun and transformative experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. CAMP FACILITIES: Our camps take place in our theater and surrounding spaces. We have a mainstage, a green room/rehearsal room with mirrors, and some outdoor rehearsal space. We also share space with the Foster City Recreation department, and a local school.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Hillbarn Theatre Conservatory, formed in 2000, is a theatre arts education program serving the needs of youth and adolescents, ages 4-18, in Foster City and the mid-peninsula area.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer is the perfect time to catch up and get ahead! At PRIDE Learning Center we offer a fantastic summer program to give students a GIANT boost in their weakest areas. Our summer program is the most popular program of the year! PRIDE'S teachers are all credentialed and certified in Orton-Gillingham methodology.

This intensive one-on-one reading and writing program utilizes our multi-sensory, phonemic, Orton-Gillingham approach that we at PRIDE Learning Center are experts at. This program helps students in a way that a regular summer school program would not. Students progress one entire reading level in 4-5 weeks!

Students attend Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm or 12:30 - 3:30pm.

You can sign up for any weeks between June and August to accommodate busy schedules and traveling families. For best results, we recommend 4-5 uninterrupted weeks.

PRIDE'S fun-filled yet intensive one-on-one reading program has become so popular that we even draw families from all over the globe. Recent students have come to PRIDE from China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, England, Canada, Puerto Rico and Dubai.

CAMP FACILITIES: Most camp activities take place in the gardens and courtyards of the beautiful and historic Temple/Bixby home, an original adobe structure dating to the late 1800s. Through a sustained community effort, the site has many original items, and has been preserved and restored professionally to help create an authentic experience for visitors.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The program, now in its 8th year, provides affordable, well supervised, and engaging historic activities, games, and craft projects on the beautiful grounds of the Temple/Bixby adobe, one of the oldest structures in Long Beach. In addition to sack and three legged races, cow chipping, and charades, children will also create a variety of take home crafts like tooled leather, tin punch lanterns, and herb sachets.

The camp's programs create a fun and festive atmosphere for participants, yet still help to shape some understanding about living and working in Old California. Each week has a unique focus, and some themed activities, but also will include many of the fun things kids look forward to who come for multiple weeks.

Example activities include herding, leather tooling, sack races, charades, songs & stories, cowboy vests, croquet, boot craft, Western dancing, tissue paper flowers, tin punch lanterns, making adobe, and mud pies.

The camp is staffed by trained teenage volunteers who have an established involvement with the Rancho, and who are supervised by Dr. Meighan Maguire, PhD in Communications from UCSD.

GEORGIA: Camp Shane Georgia’s campus is located at Emmanuel College in northeast Georgia in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. An hour and a half drive from Atlanta, Georgia it's a quiet and safe setting on 200 acres. All facilities air-conditioned and it boasts an indoor 9-lane collegiate size pool, Aquatic Center, 4000 Sq.ft. air-conditioned Fitness Center with state of the art wellness equipment, fabulous new dormitories, quad style with one or two campers sharing a bathroom. Minutes from Georgia state parks, river activities, and Lake Hartwell. It's a wonderful place to experience summer fun while learning about nutrition, healthy cooking and fitness.

TEXAS: Camp Shane Texas is set on a lovely 83-acre, beautifully landscaped and wooded campus with attractive and well kept facilities in gorgeous Texas Hill Country setting. Dormitories are modern with custom furniture, granite bathroom counter tops and polished concrete floors. All sport facilities, dorms and classrooms are air conditioned. There is an outdoor classroom, garden, orchard, chicken coop, and miles of nature trails as well as a state-of-the-art weight room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, two gymnasiums and a new indoor swimming pool. Wholesome and nutritious Shane approved healthy menu prepared on-site. We are not a fat camp nor are we a boot camp. WISCONSIN: Camp Shane Wisconsin is set on 80 acres, located off the shore of Lake Michigan. Dorms are newly constructed, modern and fully air-conditioned. OTHER CAMP INFO: The Stephen J Wampler Foundation incorporated in October 2001, becoming a fully recognized tax-exempt non-profit 501(c) 3 organization in March of 2002 (Tax ID number #80-0470847). Our outdoor programs started in August of 2004 when we welcomed our first 24 campers. The organization has grown over the past 17 years, and we have sponsored 1250 children.

CAMP FACILITIES: Cate School's grounds feature an athletic field, tennis courts, swimming pool, art studio and other recreational and program facilities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Haverim is now accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This accreditation from the most well-respected national camp organization confirms what we have known and committed ourselves to for years - that our programs and activities meet high standards for quality and safety.

The cost of each camp session (2 weeks) is $500 for grades K-6. The cost for one week only is $300. We offer children attending all four weeks a $100 discount, reducing the total cost to $900, and a second child/sibling discount of $50 per session.

The tuition includes all camp field trips, a camp T-shirt and two snacks per day. There is an additional fee of $150 per two-week session for our 7th and 8th grade Habonim campers, to cover the cost of special activities (like surfing and scuba diving). CAMP FACILITIES: Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is a day camp that builds camp programming in at the park and we have field trips in the community to the beach and other local Southern California attractions.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is accredited by the American Camp Association, and offers 7 weeks of summer day camps in Huntington Beach for children with mild to moderate difficulties behaviorally, emotionally or socially.

Children who participate in Quest programming often have diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety, Asperger's Disorder, depression, learning disabilities and/or social problems.

Quest Camps provide:

1) Individualized behavior plans;
2) Group therapy four times per week;
3) Occupational therapy services to assist children in building their skills in self-regulation, sensory processing, motor skill development and bilateral coordination;
4) A 6 to 1 camper to staff ratio;
5) Parent meetings with home therapeutic goal development;
6) Consistent positive interventions;
7) Engaging fun activities for campers such as rock climbing, soccer, arts and crafts, and field trips such as high-ropes courses, trips to Knott's Berry Farm, The Discovery Science Center, The Ocean Institute, and beach days.

Quest utilizes a comprehensive therapeutic system that provides a treatment plan individualized for each child. By observing the child in camp activities throughout the day, our staff is able to see how problems present themselves.

Jodie Knott, Ph.D., camp director and licensed clinical psychologist, coordinates the Quest treatment program. She has created and facilitated therapeutic, experiential learning interventions for children for over 12 years and specializes in the assessment and treatment of attention and learning disorders, in addition to mood disorders.

Quest staff is trained to provide positive intervention to teach new, constructive behaviors. Counselors provide verbal support for accomplishments and directions for areas of improvement. By developing an open and nurturing environment where children feel accepted and respected, campers make positive changes because they feel safe to try new behaviors.

We are very proud at Quest to now have evidence-based research that supports what parents and professionals have seen for over twenty years! During the summer of 2008, 155 families participated in an independent research study by Lisa Greenberg to measure the effectiveness of Quest's therapeutic program. The results demonstrated treatment benefits rarely seen in psychological programs. Quest was found to provide effective individualized treatment for children 6-18 years old with mild to moderate behavioral, emotional and/or social problems.

Significant reductions in hyperactivity, impulsivity, aggression and inattention were found, along with improvements in peer relations, family relations, athletic competency, behavioral control and self-esteem. Behavioral problems were found to decrease not only at camp, but also at home, school and everyday life.

Children who come to Quest struggling to make friends, handling frustration and conquering their fears, leave with increased self-esteem and improved peer and family relationships. Their fears and frustrations are reduced and behavioral problems become less influential in their lives.

In addition, Quest parents have consistently rated Quest highly. Specifically, rating very high satisfaction with the overall summer program, quality of staff, individualized goals and behavior ratings, campers' enjoyment, and the ability to keep their child's interest.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Quest’s After School Program consists of three 10-week sessions each school year. Children and adolescents attend the after school program once a week for two hours (from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.) and are grouped based on age and ability.

The Afterschool Program employs the Quest System, and includes an activity hour to work with the campers in a naturalistic environment and an hour of small-group therapy to focus on individual goals and group dynamics. Campers participate in a field trip once every ten-week session.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

US Performing Arts offers programs in Animation, Computer Animation, Costume design, Directing, Film-making (including 4K High-definition), Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Musical Theater, Play-writing, Sit Com Writing, Sit Com Acting, Singing, Voice-over work for animation, movies and games, and we started the first College Audition Boot Camps for high school students.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Helping Hands is a service-learning camp for young children. Service-learning is often confused with community service, but they are different. While volunteerism and community service are components of the service-learning education model, service-learning emphasizes both service and learning and requires participants to use their knowledge and skills to address real-life needs in their own communities. At Camp Helping Hands, campers will achieve this goal by following the four phases of the service-learning process: investigation, planning, taking action, and reflection. When led through this collaborative process, students share and invest their ideas and skills and feel truly committed to the project and to making a difference.

Camp Helping Hands Summer Camps are offered in multiple locations throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties and provide a fun and safe place for children ages 6 through 14 where they enjoy sports activities, games, swimming, arts and crafts, music, and more. But the real mission behind CHH is showing kids how they can make a difference and have fun doing it. Through engaging inquiry-based lessons and weekly service field trip expeditions, our campers learn leadership skills, develop compassion, and grow confident as they address real-world problems by taking action in their community.

Camp Helping Hands Summer Camps are four-week programs that provide fun and educational service-learning opportunities within several different segments of your community. Each summer program has an overarching theme, and each week of programming supports that theme. For CHH campers to receive the full benefits of service-learning, it is important to embrace this four-week approach, though one and two-week options are available. In addition to each week's service projects and field trips, CHH campers also swim, play sports activities and games, sing songs, do arts and craft projects, and much more.

CHH places campers according to age into four age groups: Junior Helpers (6 and 7), Young Advocates (8 and 9), Super Agents (10 and 11), and Chief Aides (12 and 13/14). Each group contains 15 to 17 campers and is led by three counselors who guide them through age-appropriate activities. Chief Aides, our oldest age group, are Junior Counselors-in-/training (Jr.CIT's). In addition to participating in camp activities like our younger campers, they assist team counselors and camp administration with tasks as needed.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Camp Helping Hands Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is designed for teens who have completed their freshman year of high school. Camp Helping Hands CITs gain new skills as they learn what it is like to work at camp under the direct supervision of our Team Counselors.

CAMP FACILITIES: Mariposa Day Camp, located in Altadena, offers themed weeks with several different emphases for girls to choose from. CAMP FACILITIES: We have three total locations (2 in California, Irvine, and Yorba Linda). 1 in Chatham, NJ. Regarding the California locations, we have two offices and ample recreation space in each location. There is also a clubhouse in Yorba Linda called (the Troy Club) that is where we host activities for the Summer Camp. The Troy Club has an ample gathering space, a playground, tables and seating, and a large heated pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SFCC uses a behavioral program to replace ineffective, inappropriate behaviors with positive and effective behaviors. Because the camp environments are similar to the camper’s natural environments, it is very likely that the behaviors taught at SFCC will generalize to the individual’s natural settings (home, school, etc.).

Our campus is very safe with a trained security guard on campus at all times, and CCTV monitoring. CAMP FACILITIES: Sino Language is pleased to have the The Second High School Attached to Beijing Normal University be our host campus for our Chinese Language & Culture Immersion summer camp in Beijing (LCB). The School was founded in 1953. With the fine school spirit and high teaching quality, the school enjoys a high reputation in the society as well as international influence. It is a prime or a �key� high school of Beijing municipality, and one of the first model schools of Beijing Education Commission.

The School is not only pride of being highly respected in teaching, but also emphasis enough on students� well-rounded development. Unique program provides worldwide students age 8 to 18 to learn Chinese language in China, experience the rich culture and explore the country. Intensive Mandarin courses (all levels) combined with colorful activities, eye-opening traveling, full accommodation with meals and air transfer inside of China offers participants a summer full with fun, excitement and learning. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer is the perfect time to catch up and get ahead! At PRIDE Learning Center we offer a fantastic summer program to give students a GIANT boost in their weakest areas. Our summer program is the most popular program of the year! PRIDE'S teachers are all credentialed and certified in Orton-Gillingham methodology.

CAMP FACILITIES: River Way Ranch Camp operates as a resort 9 months out of the year when camp is not in session. Campers stay in air-conditioned cabins, and sleep 8 to a room, with two counselors. Cabins are complete with a private bathroom and shower, closest and sink area. River Way Ranch Camp is a beautiful facility, complete with stables, basketball and tennis courts, three pools, an on-site lake, and a high and low ropes course facility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: River Way campers are divided into divisions. The Buckaroos (ages 7-9) have two counselors with each cabin group at all times. They receive a challenging diversified schedule, teaching them many new skills. Beginning at age 10, Rancheros and Seniors have free choices of activity. Transportation is available by charter bus from Southern and Northern California, as well as airport transportation from Fresno International Airport (FAT).

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers sleep in cabins (or if they are really lucky teepees) with a staff member in each cabin or teepee. Cabins/teepees have six bunk beds and are solid wood structures with canvas flaps covering the windows and the door. Each tribe has a set of brand new bathrooms with individual restrooms and showers.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For over 80 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco has been providing this creative, fun and supportive camping experience for youth ages eight to 18. We surround our kids with positive role models 24-hours a day to provide the love and encouragement they need to realize their full potential.

Located in a 2,000 acre beautiful redwood forest three and half hours north of San Francisco, Camp Mendocino offers programs that are clearly unique to those offered at our nine Clubhouses in San Francisco. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.

Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. What was most surprising, however, was the amount of absolute beginners in attendance - more than 50% of the total enrollment was just starting to play chess. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: BACKSTAGE - For youth entering the 8th — just graduating 12th grade.

BACKSTAGE is an exciting counselor-in-training program for teenagers. Each counselor will select a specific focus, such as choreography, stage and set design, music, costuming, stage management or direction. Counselors will be actively engaged in one or more of our productions and gain valuable vocational training in their area of focus.

Stage Door Conservatory nurtures the social, emotional and intellectual development of children using by the performing arts as a vehicle of learning. We will encourage our audiences to become members of a special circle of support and celebrate our young performers, not only participate as bystanders.

We will encourage our participants to reflect on their own lives, as well as the cultural, social, moral and spiritual themes represented in our productions, both to help them develop their understanding of theater and the contexts in which it was been created. We will help young performers to develop their capacities for empathy and respect for others, as they explore the human themes depicted in our plays.

We will encourage our young actors to co-create a community of caring with one another, and to communicate with one another with respect.

CAMP LIFE Many children regard Stage Door Conservatory a home away from home because we focus on creating a sense of community for everyone who join us. During our first week together, as in all subsequently weeks, we will focus on developing a strong sense of esprit d-corps among our campers ... encouraging the creation of new bonds between the children who are becoming newly acquainted as members of our ensemble, as well as the renewal of old bond among children who have spent prior summers together as members of our camp. Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE include many alumni who participate in our program year after year. If your child is joining us for the first time, please let them know that are not alone and that they will be welcomed and cared for ... within a day he or she will feel as much a part of ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE as everyone else!

AN ENSEMBLE and CONSERVATORY PHILOSOPHY

Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE are ensemble-based programs. During our first weeks together, we will encourage our young actors to collaborate in the creative process together and to appreciate and support one another as persons and performers. We will emphasize the unique importance of each child who is a part of our production, whether they are performing in a lead role or as a member of our ensemble. Because we are a conservatory, in addition to rehearsing and performing in a high caliber production, children participate in every aspect of our production, from costuming, to set-design, to props development.
